Welcome to the Gallery!
Many of these paintings were created during classes and workshops over the last few years. As you can see, I have many subjects and several approaches to painting in watercolor. In addition to the traditional approach you will see in most of my work, the paintings in the Treated Paper approach are rather unique to me. I coat the surface of hot pressed paper with an acrylic medium and let it dry. The transparent paints I always use for my traditional watercolors is used on this surface. The paint slides around and almost paints itself. I then let the paint guide me to find the hidden picture! Great fun! I do teach this approach in a 3-day workshop setting.
